You will learn:
– About fast fashion, the materials used to make garments, circular fashion and the impact our clothing has on our environment.
-Basic sewing skills (both hand and machine sewing) and how to care for your clothing.
– To screen print adding your own personal touch to clothing.
You do not need to have any prior sewing or screen printing experience to join.
Closing date to register your child’s interest to attend is Friday 7th November at 5pm. Registration has now closed.
This project was made possible by a grant from the Cairngorms Youth Fund, a fund run by young people for young people. The fund is delivered by the Cairngorms Youth LAG on behalf of the Cairngorms Trust.
I have PVG membership, full insurance and am first aid trained.
Registration has now closed. Spaces are limited and participants will be chosen at random on Wednesday 12th November. All successful participants will be contacted via email.

Pop Up Events
In summer 2025 I’m taking screen printing out of the studio again and into the wilderness with a few pop up sessions.
The Old Bridge Inn – Aviemore.
May 28th – 3pm – 8pm
July 23rd – 3pm – 8pm
August 13th – 3pm-8pm
A great family friendly pub with fantastic food and drinks. They have a great outdoor seating area where you will find me ready to show you how to screen print T-shirt or tote bags all against the amazing backdrop of the river Spey.
You can create your own design – great for letting the kids unleash their creativity or print using a screen with a pre existing design. I will have dark grey and white T-shirts and cream tote bags. T-shirts will cost £20 and tote bags £15.
Like the sound of giving screen printing a go and owning your own hand screen printed by you tee or tote?
Great – come down to the Old Bridge Inn outdoor seating area and just ‘pop up’ to the table and you can give it a go 🙂
All those that give screen printing a go will be entered into a raffle to win a £50 Old Bridge Inn gift voucher – what’s not to love.
See you there

Pop Up Aftercare
So you joined in the screen printing fun and you want to wear your lovely new T-shirt and use your tote for many adventures to come. Let’s make that happen.
– We used lovely water based inks to print your wares so you have to “heat set” them to make sure when you put them in the wash or the rain gets at them (ah pretty likely in Scotland) that they don’t run or wash off.
-Easy solution – put your iron on a high cotton heat setting, lay out your lovely printed by you item place a thin fabric on top (light tea towel, pillow case, muslin cloth) hold the iron over the print being careful to move it around for 2-3minutes. That’s it ta-da!
Your item is good to go in the wash, be worn and loved and shown for all to admire.
Thanks so much for joining in the screen printing pop up 🙂
