Join me in my Aviemore Studio and learn the basics of screen printing and sewing to make your very own Christmas Stocking.

Parent / Grandparent/ Cool Auntie and Uncles / Guardian and child class. Come together and make a unique Christmas Stocking that can be used for years to come, making wonderful memories in the process.
You can either bring your own sewing machine along or hand stitch your stocking.
I can also offer to sew and quilt your stocking at an extra cost.

Class runs from 9:30 – 4:00

(Break 12:30 – 1:00 for lunch – please bring own packed lunch some Christmas nibbles will be provided)

– Select fabric (great if you can bring your own “special to you fabric” – eg grandads old shirt, an outgrown baby grow, something that hasn’t been worn for a while that’s in need of mending.

– Design and draw stencils

– Cut out stencils with scissors or blade (with help from adult)

– Prepare screen for screen printing

– screen print design onto fabric

1:00 – 4:00

– Heat set design onto fabric

– Get familiar with your sewing machine or prepare sewing supplies for hand stiching

– sew your stocking

– Depending on sewing ability we can make a lined stocking or add quilted effect to front of stocking

– Take home your unique, personalised Christmas stocking that can be used for years to come.

Class cost £70

Own sewing machine required and walking foot if wanting to add quilted effect.

All screen printing materials provided

Selection of fabrics provided. It would be great to bring along your own fabric, i.e. an old shirt from your dad, grannies old tea towel, an favourite old top, baby clothing that’s now outgrown, fabric basically that is important to you and will add to the stocking being a personalised, sentimental stocking for you. 100% cotton or linen fabric will work best for printing and lighter weight fabric will work great for stocking lining.
